BookAI Developers

BookAI is an AI-native booking platform for complex group and event sales, flexible on both sides of the deal. The engine that qualifies, quotes, and negotiates with buyers is open to you on both sides: build booking experiences and AI agents on one, automate venue setup and operations on the other.

  • Booking MCP server

Let an AI assistant or agent find venues, get quotes, negotiate, and book, within each venue's rules. No API key needed.

  • Booking API

Build your own buyer-facing booking experience: availability, chat, quotes, offers, and orders over REST.

  • Back Office API

Configure and run a venue from your own systems: offerings, pricing, negotiating rules, payment policies, offers, and orders.

  • CLI

bookai: set up a venue and manage its back office from a terminal.

How the pieces fit

Buyers reach the booking side from a venue's own site, a planner shopping many venues at once, or an AI assistant. Everything it quotes and negotiates is governed by what venue staff configure on the back office side: offerings, price bands, negotiating rules, and payment policies. When a deal falls outside those rules, it pauses for a staff decision instead of committing.

Build and test against sandbox; it has its own data, fully separate from production.

Getting an API key

The Back Office API and the CLI authenticate with an API key tied to your venue account. Sign up first, via the back office or bookai venues create (see CLI), then generate a key from the back office's Settings → API Keys page. Using the CLI, bookai login does this for you: it opens the back office in your browser and mints a key automatically once you approve.

What's next

  • Public MCP registry listing, so AI apps can discover the booking flow without a manual connector.
  • Ticketing and inventory sync, pulling events, capacity, and pricing from the system a venue already runs.
  • More inbound channels, routing email and phone inquiries into the same booking flow.
